Cat Rescue
Isabel is a cat that has reluctanctly become our's thanks to Katrina and Steve! We continue to hope that they will return for her but. . . . LOL! She slipped out the patio door while I was brushing Sadie's hair before letting her in and managed to spend the night in the tree next door! We didn't find her until after our patio breakfast and to get her down I had to use one of my extension ladders. Thought you might find this humorous so I posted some pics for you. And hey, if you like the cat in the picture just give us a call!!! She comes with food and cat litter and whatever else you need! LOL!
Our Second Anniversary
One of the most wonderful things happened over the weekend! No, not the huge paint job! We had our second anniversary Monday! We celebrated by going to The Melting Pot (http://www.meltingpot.com/) Sunday evening which is a fondue experience that you really ought to try. What a wonderful time we had! The next morning we woke leisurely, read the paper and had our coffee in bed. Then we made omeletes and had our breakfast on the patio. Of course, I have included pictures to show you! We spent the remainder of the day being lazy by the pool and had dinner at On The Border that evening. What a wonderful wife I have!! We could not be happier!! Thank you for letting me share with you.
Grand Lake Cottage
Memorial Day Weekend to many means lots of play time but before we could get to that we had a job to do for my boss. His new cottage, situated in a beautiful cove at Grand Lake, had wallpaper that needed to be removed as well as the entire interior to be repainted. We arrived Friday evening after work and left Sunday afternoon at 3:30. That equates to about 44 hours and we managed to spend 72 manhours on the job. How do you do that? You don't sleep, sit down, or quit! LOL! The result was wonderful and I have posted some pics below. We hope my boss and his family enjoy their beautiful cottage for many years to come and couldn't be prouder for them!

Wet Weekend
Kristen got to come over this weekend and join us in the pool. Below you will see some shots of our wet fun. The chiminea was smoking, the girls were cooking in the hot sun, and I was playing in the water....as usual! Kinda makes you wish every weekend was a three day weekend, doesn't it? Memorial Day weeked is not that far off! Have a great week!!!
Inola H.S. Graduation
This past Friday night we were pleased to witness the graduation of Justin Lowell Shoemaker, our nephew. His parents, Sam & Lisa Shoemaker, were rightfully proud and the mood was very fesitive and celebatory. His grandparents (Cynthia's parents; Betty & Abner Shoemaker) were there as were his Uncle Kelly and Aunt Jamie with many of his cousins and his two brothers. When it came time for him to cross the stage you could hear our cheers from the top of the bleacher stand! The sky even seemed to help cheer him as it backsplashed the entire scene with brilliant colors. We couldn't be more proud of him! Way to go, Justin!!!!
